JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Lead Property and CAT loss analytics and reserving for Business Insurance
  • Own quarterly reserve reviews and monthly/quarterly CAT estimation and booking
  • Manage a team of 4 FTEs and lead cross-unit strategic initiatives
  • Use SQL and SAS alongside MS Office for actuarial and quantitative analyses
  • Based in Hartford, CT (onsite role listed)

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Loss reserving and reserve methodology
  • Current year CAT estimation and booking
  • Cross-functional work with Claims, Underwriting and Finance

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of comprehensive quantitative analysis experience
  • Associate Actuarial Credential (required)
  • Management experience leading actuarial or analytic staff
  • Proficiency with SQL, SAS and strong MS Office skills
