Requires strong SQL and advanced Excel (VBA) skills and 5+ years of P&C insurance analytics experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support statutory and AM Best reporting for a P&C insurer
- Perform rate, competitive and county-level strategy analyses
- Use SQL and advanced Excel (VBA) for data extraction and analysis
- Actuarial team role in Goochland/Richmond, VA; hybrid with remote considered
- Requires 5+ years of Property & Casualty insurance analytics experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Property & Casualty insurance analytics
- Statutory and AM Best reporting experience
- Rate and competitive position analysis using SERFF/InsureQuote
- Policy and pricing model review experience
- Reinsurance data calls and support
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years P&C insurance industry experience in analytics
- Proficiency with SQL for data manipulation and analysis
- Intermediate Excel skills including VBA, VLOOKUPs and charts
- Must reside in VA, NC, MD, PA, WV, NY, TN, KY, NH or FL
- Strong knowledge of insurance KPIs, rating plans and pricing
