Actuarial people leadership
Closer to people leadership than a modelling-heavy IC role because managing leads, teaching others, and development responsibilities are explicit requirements.
Senior Manager-level Health actuarial role with HCSC, available nationally as a fully remote work-from-home position. You will manage and critically review pricing, reserving, forecasting, statistical, and predictive models, lead complex cross-functional projects, and develop presentations for decision-making. The role requires an ASA, MAAA membership, at least five years of health actuarial experience, and two years in a management or lead capacity.
Requirements
Must have
- At least 5 years of actuarial experience in health insurance or related field
- At least 2 years of management/leadership experience
- Deep understanding of multiple actuarial areas and at least one business segment
Strongly preferred
- Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics (other degrees considered)
- ASA designation
- MAAA membership
- Compliance with membership requirements for each professional designation
- Verbal and written communication skills
- PC proficiency in Word and Excel
Nice to have
- Access, SQL, Visual Basic or other programming skills
- Medicare Part D experience
- Medicaid experience
