Closer to a modelling-heavy IC role than a pricing-underwriting partner role because the emphasis is on models and systems rather than live deal decisions.

Senior Health actuarial role in Chicago with broad responsibility for pricing, reserving, forecasting, and related actuarial models and systems. You will develop complex models, review analyses, teach others, and lead projects across Actuarial and non-Actuarial departments. The role requires ASA, MAAA membership, and at least five years of health insurance experience.

Requirements

Must have

  • At least 5 years of health insurance actuarial experience
  • No visa sponsorship available

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics (other degrees may be considered)
  • ASA designation
  • MAAA membership
  • Verbal and written communications skills
  • PC proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Hybrid work: 3 days in office

Nice to have

  • Access, SQL, Visual Basic or other programming skills
  • Data visualization tools experience
  • Medicare experience
