Closer to a valuation-cycle role than a capital strategy role because financial reporting, reserves, and actuarial items are more prominent than enterprise capital work.

Staff-level Life actuarial role focused on long-term care valuation in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with other hub options in Baltimore, Philadelphia, or Denver. You’ll develop assumptions, perform experience studies, support pricing and reserving, prepare GAAP/IFRS reporting, and advise management on actuarial models and risk. The role requires an ASA, relevant experience, and three days per week in the office.

Requirements

Must have

ASA or equivalent professional designation.
Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field and 5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of Bachelor's, will accept Master's in a listed discipline and 3 years of relevant experience.
Hybrid position requiring three days (Tuesday-Thursday) in office per week in one of our hub locations (Cedar Rapids, Baltimore, Philadelphia, or Denver).
Advanced computer skills.
