Senior Health actuarial data science role in New York, focused on quantifying the medical and financial impact of nutrition care. You’ll design claims-based studies, develop actuarial and causal inference models, and translate results into evidence for health plan partners. The hybrid role reports to the Head of Data and requires at least five years of healthcare actuarial or medical economics experience.
Requirements
Strongly preferred
- 5+ years of healthcare actuarial or medical economics experience
- Know healthcare claims data inside out: fluency in medical and pharmacy claims, eligibility, and coding
- Designed or conducted claims-based evaluations of care programs or interventions
- Rigorous statistical and causal inference skills (observational study design, matched groups, risk adjustment)
- Proficient in SQL and Python or R
- Ability to translate complex analyses into clear narratives for technical and non-technical audiences
- Thrive in an entrepreneurial, cross-functional environment with ambiguity
- Motivated by impact and mission
