You will lead the Rates and Encounter Data Section, oversee actuarial rate-setting and financial analysis, work with contracted actuaries, and support development of the DHHS data warehouse. Based in Lansing, MI with a hybrid schedule (minimum two days/week in office).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Manage the Rates and Encounter Data Section for Medicaid managed care
- Oversee actuarial rate setting and related financial analysis
- Ensure encounter data processing and quality; support DHHS data warehouse
- Hybrid role — minimum 2 days per week in Lansing, MI
- Requires bachelor's degree and 4+ years of professional experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Medicaid managed care encounter data processing
- health plan rate setting for Medicaid
- actuarial analysis related to Medicaid rates
- working with DHHS data warehouse or similar health data systems
- experience with electronic data standards and relational databases
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Possession of a bachelor's degree (required)
- Minimum four years of professional experience including P11/12 equivalency
- Advanced knowledge of encounter data in Medicaid managed care programs
- Experience with health plan rate setting and actuarial analysis
- Must complete background investigation and criminal records check
