Entry-level life actuarial role supporting product development, pricing, and valuation at Security Mutual's Binghamton home office. You will build and test actuarial models (MG-ALFA, PolySystems, AXIS, Excel), assist with filings and actuarial memorandums, and continue passing SOA exams toward the FSA. Location: Binghamton, NY.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Entry-level Student Actuary supporting life product development and pricing
- Build and verify models in Excel, MG-ALFA, PolySystems and AXIS
- Support illustrations, nonforfeiture testing, valuation and state filings
- Binghamton home office position (onsite)
- Minimum 1 SOA exam passed and 1 year related experience required
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Product design and pricing for life products
- Valuation of life insurance liabilities and nonforfeiture testing
- Experience with actuarial modeling software (MG-ALFA or AXIS preferred)
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 1 year of related actuarial experience required
- Minimum of 1 exam in progression toward the FSA required
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or mathematics required
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
