Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role—the rotations and mentoring broaden exposure rather than building depth in one specialty.

Summer Life actuarial internship in Omaha, Nebraska, focused on individual annuities. Interns will gain hands-on exposure to product development, pricing, valuation, risk management, reinsurance, and related actuarial work through projects and rotational learning. The role is onsite and requires at least one Society of Actuaries exam.

Requirements

Must have

  • Completion of at least 1 Society of Actuaries exam
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Actuarial Science
  • Expected graduation between December 2027 and May/June 2028

Strongly preferred

  • Ability to problem solve and demonstrate leadership
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Desire to gain more experience in the actuarial field
