Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role because learning, mentorship, and departmental exposure outweigh independent model ownership.

Summer 2027 P&C actuarial internship with West Bend Insurance Company in West Bend or Madison, Wisconsin. You’ll support the Actuarial Department by extracting, checking, reconciling, and analyzing data, learning actuarial methods, and presenting findings to peers and other departments. The role is designed for a college sophomore or later who has passed at least one actuarial exam.

Requirements

Must have

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or another quantitative-related major
At least a sophomore standing in college
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Completion of at least one actuarial exam

Strongly preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Strong time management skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to complete project-related tasks and meet deadlines

Nice to have

Experience with SAS, SQL, VBA, R, Python, or other coding languages
