Summer 2027 Retirement actuarial internship in Benefit Consulting Services in Hartford, CT. You’ll analyze defined benefit, defined contribution, and retiree healthcare plan data, support valuations and filings, develop tools, and contribute to plan design and cost projects. The 10-week, in-person program pays $26.50-$30.50 per hour and includes manager, mentor, and executive sponsor support.
Requirements
Must have
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25
Available for full 10-week program (June 2, 2027 to August 6, 2027)
Must reside near or be able to reliably commute to Hartford, CT
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Authorization to work in U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship (CPT/OPT not supported)
Strongly preferred
At least 2 years of academic progress toward a bachelor's degree
Expected to graduate and be available for full-time employment by mid-2027
Preferred majors: Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other math-focused majors
Nice to have
Passage of one or more Society of Actuaries exams preferred
Comfortable working with large datasets
VBA and/or Python coding knowledge preferred
