Requirements

Must have

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Analytical or critical thinking skills
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion
  • Good planning and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong listening skills and ability to follow directions and ask questions
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Ability to work on-site 5 days/week in Columbia, SC, Fort Wayne, IN, or Roseville, MN during the 12-week internship (May 17 – August 6, 2027)

Strongly preferred

  • Currently enrolled in college working towards a 4-year degree, with at least 12 semester hours in field of study and completed two years of academic study
  • Skills/experience in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field
  • Demonstrated interest in an actuarial career
  • Completion of at least one actuarial exam (Exam P or Exam FM preferred)
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, SAS, or Power BI
