Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role because department placement, mentorship, events, and broad exposure define the experience.

Life actuarial summer internship in Boston with exposure to pricing, valuation, modeling, risk management, asset-liability management, and experience analytics. Interns will join a department for May–August 2027, complete process-improvement projects, and present recommendations in a hybrid Tuesday–Thursday office schedule. The role is designed for bachelor's students familiar with the SOA qualification process.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Maintaining a strong GPA
Excellent communication skills
Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities
Highly motivated, results-driven self-starter
Familiarity with the Society of Actuaries (SOA) qualification process

Nice to have

Strong working knowledge of Excel
Programming skills
Relevant actuarial experience
Commitment towards FSA designations (e.g., passing at least one SOA exam)
