Role type

Structured actuarial internship

Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role—the internship samples multiple actuarial areas rather than owning one model or portfolio.

Onsite P&C actuarial internship in Moorestown, New Jersey, supporting commercial excess and surplus insurance. Over 10 weeks, you will analyze data for pricing, rating, reserving, and profitability studies, using spreadsheets, databases, and potentially SQL, R, or Python.

Requirements

Must have

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related area
  • GPA of 3.0 and above

Strongly preferred

  • Rising Junior or Senior student
  • Knowledge of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Nice to have

  • Knowledge and practical application of statistical software (SQL, R, Python)
  • Completion of one to two Actuarial Society examinations
  • Basic knowledge of insurance, business, and finance
