JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead the Valuation Services Unit within CalPERS' Actuarial Office
- Serve as subject matter expert on complex public pension valuation issues
- Supervise and direct actuarial staff and valuation workflows
- Hybrid role — up to two remote days and three or more onsite per week
- Salary range $169,812–$211,596 annual (monthly $14,151–$17,633)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Public pension valuation
- Supervising actuarial staff and workflows
- Performing complex actuarial valuations
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Associateship credential with SOA (ASA) or CAS (ACAS)
- Minimum 3 years of actuarial experience post-Associateship
- Experience with complex pension valuation and supervisory responsibilities
- Resume and required application documents submitted by final filing date
