Review pricing, solvency projections, reinsurance treaties and experience rating
Draft proposed regulations, legislation, circular letters and represent DFS at NAIC
Permanent state role based in Albany, NY (downstate adjustment for certain counties)
Requires SOA exam completion (MLC, MFE + additional exams) and 5+ years’ experience

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

actuarial or statistical work for operating units or management
governmental regulatory actuarial functions
governmental or private pension actuarial functions
performing actuarial computations for reserves, premium rates, or policy forms

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree or higher required
Successful completion of SOA exams MLC, MFE and four additional exams or Enrolled Actuary with MLC, MFE and three additional exams
Minimum five years of actuarial experience in reserves, pricing, regulatory or pension work
Supervisory experience managing actuarial staff
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; employer does not sponsor visas
