Executive P&C actuarial engineering role focused on commercial lines brokerage analytics. You will design, validate, and operationalize Python-based actuarial models (D&O, Cyber, GL, PL, Property) and translate outputs into client- and executive-ready deliverables. SVP-level hands-on builder working hybrid from EPIC offices (3+ days/week). Role sits at the intersection of actuarial modelling, platform engineering (Databricks/Azure), and broker-facing advisory.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead design and validation of commercial-lines actuarial models in Python
- Operationalize models to production on Databricks/Azure with SDLC controls
- Deliver client-facing benchmarking, limit adequacy, and TCOR analytics
- Hybrid role — minimum 3 days/week in an EPIC office (preferred San Ramon)
- SVP-level, responsible for model library and vendor oversight
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Commercial lines actuarial experience (D&O, Cyber, GL, PL, Property)
- Commercial-lines brokerage or carrier/consulting experience
- Production Python modelling experience
- SDLC and version control experience for model deployment
- Experience collaborating on Databricks or Azure platforms
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years of actuarial experience with 3+ years in commercial lines
- Production-level Python for actuarial modelling and data manipulation
- Experience with Databricks/Azure or equivalent cloud data platforms
- Working knowledge of SDLC: version control, testing, documentation
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative field required
