Executive P&C reserving role for the Americas at a global reinsurer. You will lead reserving and regulatory reporting (IFRS17, Solvency II, US STAT) across US, Canada and Latin America, sign off on reserves, and manage a team. Hybrid role with responsibility for board and regulator presentations, based in the US.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead P&C reserving and regulatory reporting across the Americas (IFRS17, Solvency II, US STAT)
- Sign-off and present quarterly and annual reserve results to management and Boards
- Manage and develop direct reports within P&C Reserving & Performance
- Drive reserving process enhancements and data/tool improvements
- Hybrid role – 3 days per week in office, 2 days remote
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Fellowship of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS)
- Extensive reserving and non-life insurance experience (10+ years)
- Expertise in IFRS17 and US statutory accounting
- Experience with Solvency II and ORSA processes
- Experience presenting reserving results to Boards and regulators
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) required
- Minimum 10 years of non-life insurance experience in US/Canada/UK markets
- Deep knowledge of IFRS17, US statutory accounting, and familiarity with Solvency II
- Experience presenting to senior management, Boards, regulators and auditors
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
