JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Lead current-state assessments of actuarial valuation engines and plan rules
  • Review gain/loss attribution and validate tie-outs to prior valuations
  • Evaluate data quality, reconciliations, and audit/SOC controls
  • Produce assessment report, gap register, and prioritized roadmap
  • Strong SQL and Excel required; Power BI/Tableau and Python a plus

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Retirement/Actuarial systems (DB/cash balance)
  • Actuarial calculations: eligibility, accruals, vesting, ER factors, interest crediting
  • Gain/loss attribution logic and valuation tie-outs
  • Data quality, census/pay/service history reconciliation
  • UAT/test design, data lineage and audit/SOC controls

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 6–10 years in Retirement/Actuarial systems (DB/cash balance)
  • Deep knowledge of actuarial calculations and gain/loss rules
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills for validation and reconciliation
  • Experience with UAT/test design, data lineage, and audit/SOC controls
  • Ability to present executive-ready recommendations
