You will combine underwriting leadership with actuarial modelling, support IFRS 17 implementation, and partner with finance and risk leadership. The role requires ACAS and significant insurance experience and leads a team of underwriters and analysts.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead underwriting and actuarial activities for auto insurance products
- Support IFRS 17 implementation and reserve & pricing calculations
- Manage and mentor a team of underwriters and analysts
- Perform data extraction and analysis from the data warehouse
- Hybrid role based in Reston, VA with flexible remote work as needed
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Insurance underwriting and actuarial experience
- Actuarial experience in insurance (5+ years) with ACAS
- Pricing and reserving for auto insurance products
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years minimum insurance experience
- At least 5 years working as an actuary in insurance and ACAS designation
- Experience with pricing and reserving for auto insurance products
- Leadership experience managing underwriters/analysts
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and SQL
