You will lead valuation work across Statutory, GAAP, Tax and capital frameworks, advise senior leadership and the Board, and manage a high-performing actuarial team. FCAS required.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead actuarial valuation and due diligence for M&A transactions (P&C primary)
- Own valuation across Statutory, GAAP, Tax and capital frameworks
- Present findings and recommendations to senior executives and the Board
- Manage and develop a high-performing corporate actuarial team
- FCAS required (or 15 years experience + ACAS), based in Birmingham, AL
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- M&A due diligence and actuarial valuation
- Valuation across Statutory, GAAP, Tax, and capital frameworks (RBC, BCAR, ICS/ESR, Bermuda EBS)
- P&C actuarial reserving and risk oversight
- Experience with reinsurance, pricing, or strategic valuation
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- FCAS designation required (or 15 years experience with ACAS in lieu of FCAS)
- Minimum of 10 years of actuarial experience with M&A, pricing or reserving
- Proven experience managing actuarial teams and influencing enterprise strategy
- Strong technical expertise in Excel, financial modelling, and valuation
- Willingness to travel for due diligence and leadership meetings
