You will lead actuarial due diligence, deal modelling and valuation for life, retirement, group and pension blocks, working closely with deal teams and senior leadership. The role requires a fully qualified FSA with 10+ years' experience and strong Excel-based financial modelling skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead actuarial due diligence and deal modelling for M&A and inforce reinsurance
- Work across Individual Life, Retirement, Group, A&H and Pension products
- Owner of Embedded Value and actuarial appraisal modelling, primarily Excel-based
- Hybrid role based in Newark, NJ with occasional domestic and international travel
- Senior role requiring a fully qualified FSA with 10+ years' experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- M&A transaction and actuarial due diligence experience
- Experience with inforce reinsurance block transactions
- Valuation methods for life, retirement and pension products
- Knowledge of US Statutory, US GAAP, IFRS and Solvency II
- Hands-on financial and Excel-based valuation modelling
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Fully qualified actuary (FSA) with 10+ years of experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- Proven transaction and M&A actuarial experience (deal modelling/due diligence)
- Strong hands-on financial modelling skills; advanced Excel required
- Deep knowledge of US Statutory, US GAAP, IFRS and valuation methods
