JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead quarterly and annual reserve review across all lines of business
- Serve as the Appointed Actuary and issue Statements of Actuarial Opinion
- Own reserving governance, model validation, and audit/regulatory interface
- Advance analytics and automation; preferred proficiency with ResQ, Python, SQL
- VP-level role based in Boston with team leadership responsibility
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Personal lines reserving
- Serving as Appointed Actuary and issuing SAOs
- IFRS 17 reporting
- Reserving governance and model validation
- Providing reserve analysis for financial reporting and monthly close
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) qualified to issue SAOs
- 12+ years of progressively responsible actuarial experience
- IFRS 17 reporting knowledge required
- Experience in personal lines reserving
- Proven ability to manage, develop, and coach an actuarial team
