Executive life reinsurance role (VP & Lead Actuary) based in Minneapolis. Lead pricing, risk analysis and product development for Group Life, Accident and Special Risk within RGA's U.S. Group Reinsurance business. Responsible for setting assumptions, performing experience analysis, mentoring staff and presenting value-added analyses to clients and internal stakeholders.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead pricing and risk analysis for group life, accident and special risk reinsurance
- Own pricing memos, assumptions, experience analysis and technical peer review
- Present RGA's Quarterly Earnings Summary and client-facing analyses
- Mentor associates and manage actuarial function within U.S. Group Reinsurance
- FSA required; 10+ years life insurance or reinsurance experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- group life and accident reinsurance pricing
- experience analysis and assumption setting
- modeling reinsurance products and structures
- knowledge of GAAP, statutory and tax accounting
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- FSA accreditation required
- 10+ years of actuarial experience in life insurance and/or reinsurance
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics or related
- Highly advanced actuarial technical skills and life product knowledge
- Intermediate understanding of GAAP, statutory and tax accounting
