Job Summary:

In this highly visible and influential role within the Actuarial Transformation Program Office within the Corporate Actuarial and Risk Management Division, you will lead the process modernization initiatives foundational to achieving our actuarial transformation objectives.  This role requires tightly coordinated collaboration with the Actuarial Transformation Engagement Officer to ensure a seamless experience for beneficiaries of the transformation.

  • Oversee end-to-end process and workflow design to ensure alignment to our Transformation North Star.
  • Partner with IT Architecture and our Enterprise Data and Delivery Transformation organization to deliver modernized systems for actuarial data management, production processes and environments to support creative analysis.
  • Oversee the development of guidelines and parameters for the future landscape of actuarial technology use.
  • Establish standards of execution for solutions delivered by the Actuarial Transformation program and ensure consistency of philosophy and approach across the program.
  • Lead within an Agile delivery context to ensure solutions meet objectives while optimizing budget, time to deliver and payoff for the actuarial community.
  • Work with the program manager to ensure smooth functioning operations, resolve issues and remove blockers.

Reporting Relationships:

You’ll report directly to the Transformation Program Leader, AVP and Actuary, Actuarial Transformation.  You will lead teams responsible for delivery on specific transformation objectives and will also exercise leadership within a matrixed structure.


Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree a plus.
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries {ASA}, Fellow of the Society of Actuaries {FSA} or equivalent non-US actuarial credential.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive successful execution of large-scale, complex initiatives with multiple objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance resource use and solution design.
  • Prior experience in transformation or modernization efforts and facility with current issues in actuarial technology.

Qualifications Desired:

  • Experience in one of our product line areas such as: group benefits, group life, individual annuities, or retirement plans (401k) experience.

The Standard’s package also includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off.

Salary Range:

$173,250.00 - $346,500.00
