Paid P&C actuarial internship in Richmond, Virginia, with an excess and surplus lines insurer. You'll gain hands-on exposure to pricing, reserving, insurance analytics, reporting, and risk analysis across complex commercial products during a 10-week onsite summer placement.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, computer science, or another quantitative field)
Background in statistics, spreadsheets, databases, or statistical software
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Nice to have

Advanced Excel skills
Familiarity with SQL and relational databases
Passed one or more actuarial exams
