Role Summary

Role type

Structured actuarial student programme

Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role—the assignment varies across actuarial functions rather than building depth in one.

New York actuarial internship in TIAA’s Actuarial Development Program, focused on Life insurance and annuities. Over 10 weeks, interns may support valuation, experience studies, ALM, capital analysis, pricing, and product development while rotating across assignments and receiving structured training.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Strongly preferred

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program
  • Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2029

Nice to have

  • At least one SOA exam passed
  • Pursuing degree in mathematics, actuarial science or related field
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Leadership potential
  • Technical skills
