Remote summer Health actuarial internship with EmblemHealth, associated with New York. Over 10 weeks, you’ll support pricing, projection, healthcare analytics, risk analysis, and rate-filing work while building models and explaining findings to actuarial, underwriting, and business audiences.

Requirements

Must have

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, other physical science, or related finance/business degree
  • 0-1+ years of relevant professional work experience and/or education
  • Understanding of actuarial principles and methodologies with strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable with Excel, data extraction, automation
  • Working knowledge of MS Office

Strongly preferred

  • Current 3rd year undergraduate
  • Completion of at least one actuarial exam
  • Exposure to SQL, SAS, Python or similar
