Entry-level Health actuarial analyst role supporting forecasting, reserving, trend analysis and reporting in a healthcare analytics team based in Eden Prairie, MN. You'll perform data extraction, validation, build standard actuarial reports, and support recurring forecasting and reserving processes. The role is onsite most weeks and supports progression in the actuarial exam program.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Entry-level actuarial analyst supporting health forecasting, reserving and trend analysis
- Work with SQL, SAS, VBA and Excel to extract, validate and analyze large datasets
- Prepare recurring monthly and quarterly actuarial reports and populate models
- Onsite in Eden Prairie, MN (4 days per week)
- Requires progression in the actuarial education program; 1+ exams preferred
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Experience working with large datasets and performing data validation
- Foundational SQL and/or VBA coding ability
- Strong Excel skills for formulas and data manipulation
- Experience with routine actuarial reporting and monthly/quarterly deliverables
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree required in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Economics or related
- Successful completion of at least 1 actuarial exam (2–3 preferred)
- 1+ years relevant experience (internship or analytical experience acceptable)
- Foundational SQL and/or VBA skills and strong Excel capabilities
- Work onsite 4 days/week at Eden Prairie, MN corporate office
