Actuarial analytics and data crossover

Closer to a data-science crossover than a modelling-heavy actuarial role because SQL, data quality, BI, and visualization outweigh traditional actuarial model development.

Associate-level P&C actuarial analytics role for a fully remote US team. You’ll work in the Product department on client reporting, data quality, dashboards, and insights across areas including Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Auto, using SQL and BI tools. The role suits candidates with 2–3 years of P&C actuarial experience and a quantitative bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or quantitative major or equivalent work experience
  • At least 2–3 years of Actuary experience in P&C insurance
  • Strong foundational understanding of P&C insurance metrics and trends
  • Highly proficient in SQL with experience navigating complex databases
  • Experience with BI tools and knowledge of data visualization best practices
  • Superb attention to detail and technical accuracy
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and work with messy, undocumented data sources
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for explaining technical concepts

Nice to have

  • Start-up and/or insurtech experience
  • Experience with or working knowledge of AI tools, specifically Claude
  • Experience or familiarity with Sigma Computing
  • Domain knowledge of Workers Comp, General Liability, and/or Auto
