Closer to a live-business pricing partner than a modelling-heavy individual-contributor role because collaboration with underwriting and field leadership is central.
Associate P&C pricing role in The Hanover’s Commercial Auto team, based in Worcester, Massachusetts, with remote work available. You’ll support Small Commercial and Middle Market through rate indications, state filings, profitability analysis, IBNR forecasting, and predictive analytics for a new pricing platform. The role suits an ACAS-level actuary with at least five years of technical experience.
Requirements
Must have
- Five or more years of technical actuarial experience across multiple LOBs/disciplines
Strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical field
- ACAS designation or higher, or equivalent work experience
- Detailed understanding of actuarial concepts and methods
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
- Intermediate programming skills, with SQL preferred
- Advanced communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines with quality work
Nice to have
- Experience with predictive modeling
