Closer to a modelling-heavy IC than a pricing partner to underwriting—the ad emphasizes tools, dashboards, and analysis rather than live deal support.

Entry-level P&C actuarial pricing role in Waltham, Massachusetts, with a hybrid work pattern. You’ll build pricing and reporting tools, support state filings, monitor performance, and turn analysis into recommendations for small business and General Liability insurance.

Requirements

Must have

BA/BS in actuarial science, statistics, or a quantitative discipline
1+ years of experience in actuarial roles/internship, or completion of a minimum of two CAS examinations (excluding UEC credit)
Technical proficiency in MS Office (primarily Excel) and SQL
Experience with AI tools and processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to navigate ambiguous or strategic challenges
Collaborative mindset with ability to work independently

Strongly preferred

Dedication to the CAS accreditation exam process with a goal of obtaining ACAS and FCAS

Nice to have

Familiarity with R or Python is a plus
Background in Small Business insurance or General Liability insurance
