Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to an underwriting partner than a modelling-heavy IC because the ad ties analysis directly to large-account and portfolio pricing decisions.

Associate P&C actuarial role in Urbandale, Iowa, supporting agribusiness insurance. You’ll work across pricing, reserving, predictive modeling, enterprise risk, and large-account underwriting analysis using R, SQL, Excel, Power BI, and related data tools. The hybrid schedule is four days in the office and one day remote.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Progression through CAS exam program or other professional designations
  • Ability to analyze and break down information
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
  • Commitment to company values and guiding principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and basic understanding of PowerBI/SQL
  • Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • 2+ years of actuarial experience in insurance
  • Experience with data visualization tools, strong preference for Power BI
  • Strong customer orientation and problem-solving skills
