Closer to a regulatory compliance role than a live underwriting partnership because rate filings, objections and regulations are central to the stated work.

Entry-level P&C actuarial analyst role in pet insurance, based in the United States. You’ll support pricing, rate filings, valuation and modeling, including regulatory responses and analysis for pet insurance products. The role requires two years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and demonstrated progress toward actuarial exams.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proven ability to pass actuarial exams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Strongly preferred

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Manage multiple tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

  • Experience with SQL, R, or Python
