Role type

Insurance reporting and governance analyst

Closer to a regulatory and governance role than a capital strategy role because reporting, controls, validation, and Statutory/GAAP requirements dominate the remit.

Entry-level Life actuarial role on an Insurance Risk team in Minneapolis, supporting quarterly and ad-hoc risk reporting, model maintenance, validation, and governance. You’ll work with Statutory and GAAP concepts, market sensitivities, and actuarial models using spreadsheets and analytical software, with manager supervision.

Requirements

Must have

  • Valid work authorization without future visa sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or related
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • At least 1 actuarial exam passed
  • Work in office at least 4 days per week in Minneapolis

Nice to have

  • VEE coursework completion
  • Actuarial internship experience
  • Experience with MS Excel, VBA, MS Access, and other database applications
