Associate-level P&C actuarial analyst role on USAA’s Modeling Factory/Insights teams based in Plano, TX (remote-eligible within continental U.S.). You’ll build and run models (including catastrophe models and GLM/GBM), apply complex actuarial methods for pricing/reserving/modeling, and communicate findings to technical and executive audiences. Near-ACAS candidates with ~4 years of actuarial or analytical experience are targeted.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Apply complex actuarial methods across pricing, reserving, catastrophe, and predictive work
- Run and interpret catastrophe models and build GLM/GBM models
- Use Python, R, SQL or SAS for data analysis and automation
- Remote-eligible across continental US; locals within 60 miles expected onsite 4 days/week
- Associate-level role (near-ACAS) with cross-functional exposure and executive communication
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- P&C actuarial or analytical experience
- Catastrophe modelling experience
- GLM or GBM modelling understanding
- Experience with Python, R, SQL, SAS or BI tools
- Model Risk Management and Governance knowledge
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 4 years of actuarial or analytical business experience
- No more than 2 CAS exams away from ACAS and all VEEs completed
- Intermediate proficiency with Python, R, SQL, SAS, or BI tools
- Basic understanding of GLM/GBM modelling and catastrophe modelling
- Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
