Entry-level P&C actuarial role with Capital Insurance Group’s Actuarial and Analytics team in Monterey, California, with options in Reno and Phoenix. You’ll support projects across multiple actuarial disciplines and use tools including SQL, Excel, R, Python, Tableau, and VBA. The role is hybrid, with three office days and two work-from-home days, and requires at least one actuarial exam.

Must have
Completion of one or more actuarial exams is required
Must be authorized to work in the US without need for current or future visa sponsorship
Strongly preferred
Pursuing or possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or related quantitative subjects
0-2 years of Actuarial experience
Experience using SQL and comprehensive understanding of relational databases
Basic knowledge of R, Python, or other statistical software
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Comply with professionalism standards set by the Casualty Actuarial Society
Nice to have
Two or more exams is preferred
Predictive modeling experience
Basic knowledge of data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, or similar)
Experience with Visual Basic Applications in Excel
