Closer to a modelling IC than a live underwriting partner because it develops rating structures and analytical products rather than pricing individual deals.
Associate-level P&C pricing and product development role in Verisk’s Actuarial Initiatives team in Jersey City, New Jersey. You’ll work across personal auto, homeowners, umbrella, motorcycle, dwelling property, and pet insurance, modernizing rating structures, researching data and models, supporting filings, and advising customers.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline
- At least 3 actuarial exams passed
Strongly preferred
- At least two years of property and casualty actuarial experience
- Personal lines and/or pricing experience
- Experience with SQL, Python, and/or R
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Clear, confident verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical capabilities, interpreting quantitative and qualitative data
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
