Role type

Client-facing actuarial consulting

Closer to client-facing consulting than a pure pricing partner role because the work spans different client organisations and includes reports and presentations.

Associate P&C actuarial consulting role in Milliman’s New York Property and Casualty practice, remote across the U.S. You’ll support commercial-lines pricing, predictive modeling, data analysis, and client reporting while working toward CAS credentials.

Requirements

Must have

  • Available to start within 2-4 weeks of offer acceptance
  • Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or other quantitative field
  • Two or more actuarial exams passed
  • 1-4 years of professional actuarial experience
  • Familiarity with ISO loss costs, rating plans, ILFs, size-of-risk curves, regulatory rate filing processes
  • Strong technical skill in Excel
  • Quick learner, takes initiative, able to adjust on the fly, big picture thinking, attention to detail, self-sufficient, enthusiasm, collaborative, excellent communication

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting commercial lines pricing and product development
  • Experience managing data in R, SQL, SAS or other programming languages
  • Prior P&C reserving experience
  • Programming in SAS, R, Python, SQL (R most preferred)
  • Predictive modeling experience
