Senior health actuarial analyst supporting evaluation of Blue Shield of California’s value-based care (ACO and alternative payment) models. You will run forecasting, statistical and ML analyses of cost, utilization and quality, build evaluation deliverables, and present findings to stakeholders. Role is based in Oakland, CA with a hybrid workplace model and reports to the Principal of Actuarial Provider Strategies.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Evaluate value-based care (ACO) models for cost, utilization, and quality
- Perform data exploration and modeling using R, Python, SQL, and SAS
- Produce evaluation deliverables and present results to stakeholders
- Hybrid role — office attendance at least two times per month (default)
- Requires 3+ years professional actuarial experience

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree (minor in math, statistics, or CS preferred) required
- At least 3 years of professional actuarial experience
