Entry-level P&C actuarial role in Johnston, Rhode Island, covering both pricing and reserving work for a national residual-market insurance organization. You’ll develop rate indications, assist with reserve studies, prepare exhibits and reports, and support governing committee presentations while pursuing CAS credentials.

Requirements

Must have

Passed 1 to 3 actuarial exams

Strongly preferred

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
1 or more years of related insurance experience
Experience using databases, spreadsheets, statistical software, and computer languages for data compilation
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Power BI
Strong spreadsheet and pivot table skills
Effective problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of the insurance industry and related regulations
Pursuit of CAS Fellowship credentials through actuarial exams
