Actuarial Associate role in Guardian’s Group Disability Pricing team, based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with hybrid work. You’ll support rate development, state filings, pricing models, and product, underwriting, finance, and distribution initiatives while rotating departments through the Actuarial Leadership Development Program.
Requirements
Must have
A minimum of two years of prior work experience in the actuarial field
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
Strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in a mathematics-based field
Regularly taking actuarial exams to pursue the Actuarial Fellow designation in the Society of Actuaries
Proficient in MS Excel as well as experience in using actuarial modeling / data visualization software
Ability to communicate pricing analyses to technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to contribute to multiple projects with multiple deliverables simultaneously
Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to synthesize sophisticated information
Nice to have
Bachelor's degree in actuarial science
Actuarial Associate designation in the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
3-5 years of prior work experience in the actuarial field
An understanding of group pricing practices including the use of experience
Prior work experience in Group Pricing, particularly Disability coverage
