Associate-level life actuarial role supporting liability analytics for variable annuities (Shield) in Charlotte, NC or remote. You will generate deterministic and stochastic scenario inputs for hedging and ALM, build controls and analytics, and use Python/SQL to support production processes. Position is part of the Liability Analytics & Services team and participates in a hybrid or remote work model.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support hedging and liability analytics for variable annuities (Shield)
- Generate deterministic and stochastic scenario inputs for ALM and hedging
- Build controls, automation, and production processes using Python and SQL
- Hybrid/remote flexibility (Charlotte, NC or remote)
- Actuarial Associate level with SOA ASA progression and study support
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Completed Exam P
- Working toward SOA ASA designation
- Python programming experience (preferred)
- SQL experience (preferred)
- Experience with PathWise (preferred)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative discipline
- Completed Exam P (SOA) and actively taking additional exams
- Committed to completing SOA courses toward the ASA designation
- Strong computing and programming aptitude (Python/SQL preferred)
- Ability to manage projects, document controls, and communicate results
