Health reserving and reporting generalist

Closer to a reserving/reporting role than a pricing-underwriting partnership because IBNR, financial close, and rate validation outweigh live deal support.

Health Actuarial Associate role for a North Carolina-based remote employee. You'll analyze PMPM costs, IBNR, state rate-setting, financial risk, and value-based contracts while using SQL and Excel to support modeling, reporting, and stakeholder presentations.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business, or related field
  • At least 3 years of related actuarial experience
  • Passed at least 2 SOA actuarial examinations
  • Must reside in North Carolina
  • Successful completion of background and credit check

Strongly preferred

  • Proficiency in SQL

Nice to have

  • Experience with Financial Close Processes
  • Experience supporting Health Plan
