Modeling-focused individual contributor

Closer to a modeling-heavy IC than a reserving cycle role—the emphasis is model enhancement, scalability, and implementation rather than recurring close reporting.

Life actuarial Associate role supporting Individual Annuities modeling and VM-22 implementation in the United States. You’ll enhance AXIS models, analyze valuation results, improve data processes, and partner with valuation, pricing, FP&A, and investment management. The role offers Associate II and III levels, requiring at least three exams or an ASA depending on level, with a posted salary range of $82,250-$138,500.

Requirements

Must have

  • ASA designation
  • At least 2 years of hands-on actuarial experience (Associate II level) or 3+ years (Associate III level)
  • Successful completion of a minimum of 3 actuarial exams (Associate II level)

Strongly preferred

  • 3+ years of experience sufficient to have gained a seasoned actuarial business perspective (for Associate III)
  • Projection and Valuation modeling experience (CFT, LDTI MRB, VM-20, or VM-21)
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, actuarial science, business, or a related field

Nice to have

  • Prior modeling experience with GGY AXIS
  • Hands-on experience with Individual annuities
  • Asset modeling and Asset Liability Management (ALM) experience
  • Python experience
