Role type

Model-focused actuarial individual contributor

Closer to a modelling-heavy IC role than a pricing-underwriting partnership because the ad emphasizes models and standards, not live underwriting or deal negotiation.

Actuarial Associate role in Corebridge Financial’s Life business, supporting individual annuity pricing and product development. You’ll develop and maintain actuarial models, interpret regulatory standards, and work with senior actuaries. The role is hybrid and can be based in Jersey City, NJ, Houston, TX, or Woodland Hills, CA.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • Completion of 3 or more SOA exams and 3 VEEs
  • 2+ years of actuarial work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
  • Experience with modeling software
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office especially Access and Excel
  • Highly detailed oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team

Nice to have

  • Programming skill in SAS, Visual Basic, SQL, or C++
