Closer to a data-science crossover than a traditional actuarial specialist role because coding, machine learning, and large-dataset analysis are core requirements.

Senior remote P&C actuarial data science role open to candidates in Indiana and elsewhere in the US or Puerto Rico. You’ll build predictive and machine-learning models for pricing, reserving, underwriting, risk management, and forecasting, while translating analysis for actuarial, finance, underwriting, and product teams. The position requires 5+ years of relevant experience and strong Python, Snowflake, and SQL skills; compensation is $99,000-$169,500 depending on level.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in actuarial analytics, data science, insurance analytics, or related field
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico
  • Applicants must not now, nor at any point in the future, require sponsorship for employment

Strongly preferred

  • Strong proficiency in Python, Snowflake, and SQL
  • Experience with predictive modeling and statistical analysis
  • Knowledge of insurance products, actuarial principles, and risk modeling
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with version control and collaborative development workflows (e.g., Git/GitHub)
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization tools
