Closer to client-facing consulting than a reserving cycle role because engagements require liaison work, technical communication, and multiple-project prioritisation.

Senior Health actuarial consulting role in KPMG’s Houston, Texas Audit practice. You’ll support group and health insurance clients through reserving, risk adjustment, actuarial value calculations, experience studies, financial reporting, and model development. The role suits a Senior Associate with at least three years of professional-services actuarial experience and two passed exams.

Requirements

Must have

  • 3+ years actuarial experience in professional services with actuarial software
  • 1+ year of U.S. GAAP statutory financial reporting experience
  • 2 actuarial exams passed
  • US work authorization without sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or related field
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Strong understanding of group/health insurance products
  • Proficient in Excel and R
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Experience with Medicaid/Medicare/ACA/group health/long term care/supplemental health products
