Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role—the emphasis is supervised exposure and development rather than owning advanced models.

P&C actuarial internship in specialty insurance at American Modern in Amelia, Ohio. You’ll support pricing and reserving analyses by preparing real insurance data, completing Excel-based indications, and applying coding where useful. The hybrid summer program is aimed at rising juniors and seniors who have passed at least one actuarial exam.

Requirements

Must have

Must have passed at least one actuarial exam
Currently pursuing bachelor's or master's in Actuarial Science, Math or related
Rising Junior or Senior at time of internship
Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for summer internship
Able to work hybrid, including 40-50% time in Amelia, Ohio office
Authorized to work in US permanently without sponsorship now or future
Reliable transportation to commute to office as required

Strongly preferred

Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute

Nice to have

Coding experience in any language (helpful but not required)
