Role Summary

Role type

Structured student rotation

Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role—the rotations and induction prioritise broad reinsurance exposure over sustained model ownership.

P&C actuarial internship in New York with Lockton Re’s reinsurance broking business. You’ll rotate across reinsurance, support program analysis and pricing, help develop actuarial tools, build stochastic underwriting models, and interact with clients and reinsurers.

Must have

  • Entering junior or senior year of college

Strongly preferred

  • Interest in building a career in reinsurance
  • Eager to learn and adaptable
  • Good communicator, both verbal and written
  • Collaborative and team-oriented
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and trust with tasks
  • Adaptable to changing environments

Nice to have

  • Experience with R or Python a plus
  • Stochastic modeling / DFA experience a plus
  • Actuarial exam progress towards CAS/SOA a plus
